Spanish Language Online Banks

With over 40 million Spanish speaking people living in the United States it is surprising how few banks offer a Spanish-version of their site or promote their services in Spanish. Google and Yahoo both offer language-conversion software which will convert sites into foreign languages, but this method of translation is notoriously inaccurate in the financial services industry. Two banks which set themselves apart by operating online Spanish divisions of their bank are Emigrant Direct and Bank of Internet. Both banks have been offering top deposit rates on their main site for years, but each also offer the same rates on a Spanish-language site. Emigrant Direct Bank's division BancoFortuna.com and Bank of Internet's division BancoDeInternet.com are full-service sites which replicate all the banking services and rate deals found on the English-version sites. The idea behind both banks is the same as other online banks in that customers give up the convenience of local branch banking to find banks with higher deposit rates and lower service charges.
