I linked my checking account to my onilne savings account at Venture Bank Direct. It’s earning 3.8% APY with no minimum balance and I can link up to 3 accounts.

I suppose that if you have $100k to put somewhere, then 3.80% isn’t bad. I clearly don’t have $100k. But with my measly $10k, I enjoy 6%. I found my bank on Checkingfinder.com.

I would have to second the recommendation for Venture Bank Direct. The 3.8% is one of the better online savings rates I’ve found. Their website says they will be adding a checking account option soon, so it’s one to keep an eye on.
