
Credit Card Rate Specials and Analysis
Credit card averages are down slightly as the effect of the Fed's rate cuts finally filter down to credit card issuers. Cardholders with a rate tied to the prime rate have benefited the most as other indexes and benchmarks set by the issuers have not dropped as much. The average consumer card tracked by money-rates.com is now at 14.09% a decrease of 23 points since the Fed dropped rates. Today's credit card specials include fixed rate cards with APRs as low as 7.99% , Student Credit Cards designed to finance college costs easily, Airline Credit Cards which award airlines miles for signing up and for purchases, and Reward Cards which offer consumers gifts and cash for card use.
